BlockBeats 消息，5 月 22 日，据官方消息，Circle 首席执行官 Jeremy Allaire 在社交媒体发文表示，cirBTC 即将上线，Circle Wrapped Bitcoin（简称 cirBTC）是一种由原生比特币（BTC）1:1 支持的代币化 BTC，由 Circle 在以太坊主网和 Arc 网络上发行。每一枚 cirBTC 都由 1:1 的原生 BTC 作为储备支持，这些 BTC 由 Circle 集团旗下受监管实体托管。
